CHOCOLATE CARAMEL BARS

1 box chocolate cake mix 3/4 cup margarine, melted (1-1/2 sticks) 1/3 cup evaporated milk (3 oz) 1 14 oz bag of caramels 1/2 cup evaported milk (4 oz) 1 cup chocolate chips

Grease a 9x13 pan. Mix cake mix, melted margarine and 1/3 cup evaporated milk until blended. Pat 1/2 of mixture into greased pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 12 minutes. Let set for 5 to 10 minutes before pouring on caramel. Melt caramels with 1/2 cup evaporated milk in double boiler. Spread on baked chocolate crust. Sprinkle chocolate chips over caramel. Drop the remaining chocolate mixture by teaspoonful on the top. Bake at 325 degrees for another 12 minutes.
