Mix thoroughly butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and egg. Blend flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; stir into peanut butter mixture.|
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Roll dough into 1-1/4 inch balls. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. Flatten crisscross style with fork dipped in flour. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown on edge.
Yield: approximately 6 dozen 2 to 2-1/2 inch cookies.
