WILD RICE SOUP - Dexie Dunham
1 lb ground beef
1/4 lb bacon pieces, optional
1/3 cup chopped celery
1 cup wild rice, raw
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can mushrooms
3 cups milk
Instructions: Cook the ground beef, bacon bits and celery. Season with salt and pepper.

Cook the wild rice in 4 quarts of salted water for 45 minutes or until fluffy.

Mix rice with hamburger mixture in a large pan or slow cooker. Add 2 cans cream of mushroom soup, 1 can cream of celery soup, and 1 can of mushrooms. Stir in 3 cups of milk and heat thoroughly.

Yield: many servings.
