TOLLHOUSE PIE - Dexie Dunham

1/2 cup butter, softened 2 eggs, beaten 2 tsp vanilla 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup flour 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts 1 unbaked pie crust

Beat butter and add eggs and vanilla. Stir together sugar and flour and add to butter mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Pour into pie shell and bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 1 hour. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
