Line an 8x8 pan with foil and butter, set aside. Combine butter, sugar and syrup in a 3 quart saucepan. Heat to a boil over medium heat stirring constantly with wooden spoon. Boil slowly for 4 minutes without stirring. Remove from heat, stir in milk. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until candy thermometer reads 238 degrees stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour into pan. Cool. Remove from pan and Cut into bite sized pieces, wrap in waxed paper squares. |
