TEXAS BARS, from Linda Wurgler
2cups sugar
2cups flour
1cup butter
1cup water
1/3cup cocoa
2 eggs
1tsp baking soda
1/2cup buttermilk
Place the sugar and flour into a large bowl.

Place the butter, water, and cocoa in a saucepan, bring to a boil; then add to the sugar and flour mixture.

Add 2 eggs unbeaten, soda, and buttermilk.

Pour into greased and flowered bar pan. Bake about 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

FROSTING
1/2cup butter
1/4cup water
1/4cup cocoa
1/4cup powdered sugar
Bring to a boil and thicken with powdered sugar.
